On one of the days in Korea, we had to be in the City of Chuncheon for a series of meetings. My business partners organised a driver and we set off on a roadtrip into the Korean country-side... my favourite way to explore a country.

By noon it was time for lunch and we managed to find a restaurant in the middle of nowhere. The restaurant was worryingly empty, but every table was already set with food (chicken...?) waiting to be cooked.
I was introduced to a rice-wine drink called Mackgoli. It's actually pretty good and, unlike Soju, not too strong.
As the lunch went on the restaurant began filling up with a large group of increasingly energetic locals.
After lunch we continued our journey towards Chuncheon – my hosts kindly stopping to allow photos as often as I liked.
I got a guided tour of Chuncheon's Animation Museum – an amazing archive of classic and contempory Korean animation.
From there it was a welcome cup of coffee at a beautiful cafe overlooking the lake and City of Chuncheon in the distance.
The next day we bid farewell to Seoul, and headed to Batam, Indonesia.
